About the Event

Roland Satterwhite presents a solo performance for violin, voice, and a self-developed live harmonizer. Combining modern jazz with original songs rooted in storytelling and political reflection, the project explores the expressive possibilities of the violin as a complete musical language, with the harmonizer extending its harmonic possibilities in real time. This new solo project is the result of years of exploring how a single instrument can carry the depth, complexity, and narrative arc of a full musical world.

Roland Satterwhite is a Berlin-based American violinist, singer, and composer whose music moves between modern jazz, Latin American traditions, Sinti and Romani music, and political folk-rock. After years of performing in New York and across Europe, he has developed a distinctive voice that brings together improvisation, composition, and songwriting. His work draws from diverse musical traditions, exploring rhythm, harmony, and the expressive possibilities of the violin.
