Sam Newbould Quintet

Yorkshire-born saxophonist and composer Sam Newbould leads an award-winning international quintet that emerged from the Amsterdam jazz scene. The band’s music combines virtuosity with driving grooves and playful melodies that stick in your head. With performances at Jazzahead 2025, North Sea Jazz, Love Supreme Festival and the London Jazz Festival, the quintet has secured a firm place on the international jazz scene.

At our venue the quintet presents its fourth album, One day we’ll have a window (Dox Records), on a tour through the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. Its earlier album Homing was nominated for an Edison.
