Francesco Piemontesi piano

Described by Gramophone as ‘an artist who very much puts the music first’, Francesco Piemontesi holds a deep affinity and affection for the music of Schubert and Liszt. The Swiss pianist’s latest Wigmore Hall recital moves from the serenity and formal perfection of the Fantasy Sonata to the intensely Romantic, heart-on-sleeve drama of Liszt’s ‘Years of Travel, First Year, Switzerland’, a voyage of the imagination into a nation’s history, myths and landscape.
