Rachel Sutton is a British jazz singer, songwriter and performer whose emotive vocals and theatrical presence command every stage she steps onto. Tonight sees the unveiling of her long-anticipated new album, Realms—a vivid, atmospheric journey that weaves jazz, folk and pop into a world shaped by her rich imagination. Trained as an actor, Rachel infuses her music with storytelling, sensitivity and joy. Her debut album, A Million Conversations, was hailed as “a revelation… the music is of the highest quality… a touch of the Joni” by Jazz Views. Close-Up Culture calls her “a sublime live talent,” The Jazz Mann as “a very classy vocalist.”

Rachel Sutton’s musical journey is deeply rooted in her theatrical background, bringing a rare blend of drama, authenticity, and emotional depth to every performance. Raised in the idyllic Kent countryside, she was immersed in the music of legends such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, and Joni Mitchell. Her formal training at Glamorgan University and The Welsh College of Music and Drama led to prominent Shakespearean roles across the UK and Europe, and standout appearances in award-winning productions at the Edinburgh and New York Fringe Festivals.

Her highly anticipated new album, Realms, showcases her songwriting, drawing from jazz, folk, and pop to create a sound that is both eclectic and deeply personal.

Now a commanding presence in the jazz world, Rachel captivates audiences at top London jazz clubs and international venues. Her acclaimed portrayal in Lansky: The Mob’s Money Man at The Queen Elizabeth Hall and Cadogan Hall cemented her reputation as a versatile, compelling performer.
