Daniel Casimir Big Band

An influential figure within the new UK jazz scene, award-winning bassist and composer Daniel Casimir returns with his unmissable big band show. Winner of Jazz FM’s Instrumentalist of the Year, and the Parliamentary Jazz Committee's Album of the Year, Daniel has released three acclaimed studio albums via influential emerging UK jazz label jazz re:freshed, alongside collaborations with the likes of Camilla George, Makaya McCraven and Blue Lab Beats. Daniel's last record Balance, building on the success of his debut Boxed In, merged 'Big Band Energy' with his signature combination of classical, jazz and cinematic sounds. The music was brought to life by a full big band, comprising leading figures from the UK Jazz scene, with a string section from the London Contemporary Orchestra. This live show will feature music exclusively composed and orchestrated by Daniel, honouring the traditions of classical and jazz orchestration, while embracing the current sounds of ‘New UK Jazz’.
