Bill Evans: A Vocal Portrait

“A beautiful portrait of a timeless genius — through the voices of today.” Tap into the “Universal Mind” of Bill Evans in this exclusive album launch show of "Portrait in Evans” by vocalist Noa Levy (San Francisco), pianist Paul Edis (London) & his trio - feat. special guest and UK Jazz legend, Alan Barnes. This powerful collaboration explores Evans’ unique compositions with existing & original lyrics and new arrangements, offering a rare vocal interpretation of his work.

With a curated setlist spanning Evans’ life and career, the show becomes a musical “portrait” — illuminating emotional layers of love, friendship, parenthood, hope and loss.

Paul Edis stands as one of the UK's leading creative musicians, earning prestigious recognition including Best Album at the 2023 Parliamentary Jazz Awards. His performances alongside jazz luminaries like Jon Faddis and Tim Garland showcase his versatility, while his original compositions demonstrate his passionate commitment to melody and creative innovation within both jazz and classical traditions. Described by Jazz Journal as "a major voice in British Jazz," Paul brings depth and sophistication to every performance.

Currently lighting up San Francisco Bay Area's jazz scene, Noa Levy captivates audiences with a swinging, authentic sound that JAZZIT Magazine calls "at the same time classic and contemporary." Winner of the Sheila Jordan Award for her Voice & Bass Album Debut (with Japanese Bass Player Shimpei Ogawa), Noa's performances at prestigious venues like SFJAZZ and The Fillmore showcase her "expertly rendered selections" (NYC Jazz Record), and draw inspiration from her heroines Ella Fitzgerald and Carmen McRae.
