Marco Marcelletti Quartet - Songs from Italy
Lineup
About the Event
The Marco Marcelletti Quartet brings a fresh jazz perspective to the richness and melodic beauty of Italian music. Blending the expressive language of jazz with the familiar melodies and emotional depth of Italian songs, the quartet transforms well-loved tunes into vibrant musical explorations, where lyrical improvisation, rhythmic interplay and spontaneous interaction take centre stage.
Led by pianist Marco Marcelletti, the quartet features Attilio Sepe on alto saxophone, Jonathan Collin-Bouhon on bass, and Umberto Odone on drums.
Based in a city renowned for its cultural diversity, the project also reflects the experience of Italian jazz musicians in Brussels: artists who carry their musical roots into an international environment, building connections across scenes and cultures. Within Brussels’ vibrant jazz community, these encounters become an opportunity to rethink tradition, develop new musical identities and create a shared language beyond national borders.
