WEST-EASTERN DIVAN ENSEMBLE — Chamber Music by Mendelssohn, Prokofiev, Ligeti, and Widmann

To mark the 20th anniversary of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in 2019, Michael Barenboim, the orchestra’s concertmaster, founded the West-Eastern Divan Ensemble. The musicians have since toured Europe as well as North and South America, and have been heard several times at the Pierre Boulez Saal. They now return to its stage to perform works from the 19th to the 21st centuries for different combinations of instruments, ranging from duo to octet.
