East London artist Hak Baker has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in British alternative music, turning stories of inner-city life, vulnerability and social unrest into his self-described “G-Folk” sound. Raised on the Isle of Dogs, his raw, poetic songwriting moves across folk, post-punk and reggae, earning fans from Skepta and Mike Skinner to Fontaines D.C. and Pete Doherty.
