Rose Ann Dimalanta Trio

Led by vocalist and keyboardist Rose Ann Dimalanta, former member of Prince’s New Power Generation, this dynamic trio packs a powerful punch of jazz, funk, R&B and soul. Joined by bassist Raymond McKinley and drummer Massimo Buonanno, the group’s unique chemistry reflects their close friendship, shared musical upbringing and years of playing together.

Also from Oakland, bassist Raymond McKinley is often regarded as a musician’s musician. His gospel roots have led to performances with artists including Patti LaBelle, Sheila E., Rachelle Ferrell, Tower of Power and Earth, Wind & Fire. His rock-solid timing, rich tone and instinctive feel for funk provide the foundation for the trio’s sound.

Swiss-born drummer Massimo Buonanno completes the group with his expressive and dynamic playing. A Berklee graduate and one of Europe’s most in-demand musicians and producers, his style draws on the precision of Steve Jordan, the groove of Steve Gadd and the rhythmic approach of Questlove and Stanley Randolph.

Expect a live show built on a genuine connection between these three exceptional players.
