About the Event
Brooklyn-based saxophonist and composer David Truilo is a well-regarded band leader and sideman throughout the NYC area. He appears frequently in New York clubs, including Smalls Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club, and Ornithology. International appearances include residencies with his band at both the Copenhagen and Aarhus Jazz Festivals. A graduate of The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, David also studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam The opportunity to play with musicians from all over the world has deeply rooted his work in collaboration and community, and confirmed his belief that music is an act of selfless communion.
