About the Event
Grammy Award-winning keyboardist, composer and producer Jeff Lorber is one of the true pioneers of contemporary jazz fusion. Since launching the Jeff Lorber Fusion in the late 1970s, he has helped shape the sound of instrumental music, blending jazz improvisation with the deep grooves of funk, soul and R&B.
Growing up in Philadelphia alongside future jazz legends Michael and Randy Brecker, Lorber developed a sound rooted in jazz, funk and groove that would go on to influence generations of musicians. Across a career spanning more than four decades, he has collaborated with leading artists across jazz, R&B and contemporary music, while his production work has included artists such as Dave Koz, Eric Marienthal, Karyn White, DeBarge and The Isley Brothers.
With more than two dozen albums, multiple Grammy nominations and a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for Prototype in 2018, Lorber remains a defining figure in modern fusion.
