Alex Voysey Blues Band

Alex Voysey is one of the most exciting blues artists in the UK…..with exhilarating and virtuosic blues rock live performances, fiery emotion, phenomenal musicianship and a deep passion for the blues, this is a band that leaves audiences breathless and one not to be missed!

Alex's playing owes much to the blues/rock influence of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa, coupled with a refreshing and high-octane personal style. As consummate musicians, the band feed off each other’s virtuosity and musical integrity to deliver wow factor shows packed with breathtaking style and engaging, complex and memorable original material

The band’s album ‘Blues In Isolation’ reached the prestigious number one slot in the IBBA charts in May 2024. Co-produced by Paul Long (Catfish/BB King/BBC Radio 2) and drummer Paul Arthurs it was hailed by renowned jazz and blues broadcaster Spencer Evans as ‘exceptional’.

Nominated to compete in the prestigious 2025 UK Blues Challenge, and triple nominated in the UK Blues Federation Awards, also in 2025, Alex and the band have supported blues greats Mike Zito, Hardwick Circus and Brave Rival and collaborated with European Blues Challenge winner Alice Armstrong. He was honoured to dep for multi-award-winning guitarist Matt Long with the mighty international powerhouse band Catfish in 2024 and is now lead guitarist with the remaining members in the newly formed Burning Rope.
