Bridget Yee piano

Malaysian pianist Bridget Yee is recognised for performances of imagination and intensity, appearing at Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall in Japan, Petronas Philharmonic Hall in Kuala Lumpur and the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. She is currently in a three-year residency with the Riot Ensemble.

Her exciting programme is bookended by two fiery masterpieces: Guido Agosti’s virtuosic transcription of Stravinsky’s ballet opens with an Infernal Dance, while Liszt’s infernal sonata famously examines a theological battle between light and darkness. In between, Harold Bauer’s transcription of César Frank’s melancholic, romantic organ piece – dedicated to Saint-Saëns – is paired with the 2026 ‘shadow undulations of a bellflower’, composed especially for Bridget, from the remarkable young composer Laila Arafah.
