About
“A band with crazy telepathy who really enjoy the music.”
Mr. Scruff
A welcome return to the Vortex from this highly acclaimed Birmingham-based ensemble Led by pianist/composer David Austin Grey
This close-knit group of the UK’s finest improvisers bring a deep sense of understanding and common purpose to each composition.
The music unfolds equally in gently weaving turns and dynamic sweeps as they navigate different moods and emotions; from sweet and tender, through to frenetic, assertive energy.
The band draws from contemporary jazz, alongside hip-hop, electronica, bebop, minimalism and romantic classical music, producing warm, reflective, open-hearted and lyrical jazz.
This appearance sees the band performing all-new material from their forthcoming album release.
