About the Event
Free Entry: Extraordinary Showcase of Italian Jazz
The concert is a journey between tradition and modernity, leading to new sound worlds where the music and voice of Sarra Douik and Luisa Briguglio create evocative and engaging atmospheres. An experience that celebrates cultural roots and international scope, between emotion and refinement.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The concert opens with Sarra Douik, a young artist who, through her refined compositions, intertwines Arabic traditions and Mediterranean sounds, creating an intense and evocative sonic universe, guided by her voice and oud. His artistic exploration blends formal training with personal identity, a heritage rooted in global openness, giving rise to an authentic and contemporary musical language.
Following this, Luisa Briguglio leads the audience through a journey that intertwines music, literature, dance, and theater in a constant dialogue between Mediterranean tradition and Latin American influences. His writing, predominantly in Sicilian dialect, blends cultural heritage, poetic sensitivity, and contemporary perspective, presenting Sicily at once ancient and urban. The result is an artistic experience that resonates with depth, nuance and cultural vitality.
