The legendary DJ and producer DJ Shadow marks the 30th anniversary of his hugely influential album Endtroducing….. by joining forces with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jules Buckley. Few records can genuinely claim to have defined an era, but Endtroducing….. is one of them. Its release in 1996 instantly redefined hip-hop, using the most basic of tools – two turntables and a sampler – to combine crucial beats and deeply-felt influences into a poetic instrumental journey.For this one-off concert, DJ Shadow – aka Josh Davis – returns to this groundbreaking collection to present a complete performance of the album, reimagined for classical orchestra. It promises to be a memorable celebration of a genuine musical landmark.
