About the Event
Founded by students at the Guildhall School of Music in 2019, the Fibonacci Quartet confirmed the compelling nature of its artistry when it became the first ever ensemble to win the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition. The Fibonaccis return to Wigmore Hall with the first of Mozart’s ‘Prussian’ Quartets, famed for its tonal warmth and variety, and Tchaikovsky’s heart-melting String Quartet No. 3, composed in memory of his friend, the violinist Ferdinand Laub.
