The Next Movement Showcase – Discover the next wave of classical talent at The Next Movement Showcase, part of Classically Black in collaboration with Warner Classics. Featuring up to five rising performers selected through an open call, this inspiring event celebrates bold artistry, fresh perspectives and emerging voices from underrepresented backgrounds. A vibrant showcase of promise, creativity and the future of classical music.
Down with the Patribachy – A live podcast event featuring an eight-piece chamber choir, that showcases a whistlestop tour through the history of Western Classical Music, shaped by the underrepresented composers you might not know so well. Performance from Omnium Ensemble. Hosted by Ellie Ajao, with guests Joe McHardy and Emma Arthur, it offers a fresh, funny and thought provoking journey through classical music history.
Your full-day pass ensures you don’t miss a moment, from the opening conversations to the dancefloor. Free tickets for the Children and Young People’s Music Workshop Sharing Session in Hall One at 12:45pm need to be booked separately.
Throughout the day, the five screens on level minus two will feature a display of composers through history, curated by Dwight Pile Gray.
BSL interpretation and additional access support will be available across the day.
