Courtly Fanfares and Other Bells

Autumn paints the leaves in shades of red and gold, carries the scent of wind and apples, and scatters horse chestnuts all around... Can sounds imitate the sun's rays? We'll look for the answer as we listen to music in a variety of styles performed by five brass instruments: two cheerful trumpets, a mysterious trombone, a gentle French horn and a mighty tuba. Together, we'll discover what they have in common, how they differ, how they produce sound, and the wide range of colours they can create.
