L CON and Foundling

L CON is the ever-evolving project of Lisa Conway - a Swiss-Canadian sonic adventurer, songwriter, composer, researcher, recordist, and mixer based in Montréal. Her work is often minimalist, and blends analog synthesizers, tape machines, and electronics with acoustic instruments. Lisa is an alumni of the final Red Bull Music Academy (Berlin 2018), with recent album releases on Toronto labels Halocline Trance and Idée Fixe. She has received press from publications like Musicworks (cover fall 2025), The Fader, the CBC, BOMB Magazine, Exclaim, and Earmilk, and has collaborated on works presented at TIFF, the D'Haus (Dusseldorf), MaerzMusik (Berlin), The Harbourfront Centre, Hot Docs, and the Inside Out Festival. A graduate of the MA in Sonic Arts from Queen’s University Belfast, she is currently pursuing a SSHRC-funded Individualized PhD in Fine Arts (sound studies) at Concordia University.

Foundling is the project of Canadian-born, Berlin-based composer, harpist, and vocalist Erin
Lang, and drummer percussionist Constantine Karlis (NZ), and hosts many collaborations,
presenting immersive live performances that move fluidly between composition and improvisation.
Centred on their recent album Artemisia, (Shadow World Records UK) Foundling’s
current concerts unfold through harp, voice, and percussion in slowly evolving forms,
where structured motifs dissolve into open, intuitive passages with voice and spoken word,
drawing from ambient, experimental new age, and psychedelic folk traditions.
Foundling’s live work offers intimate, emotionally resonant performances that delicately
explore more mystical depths. Lang has toured extensively across Europe and North America,
including performances at a very wide range of venues including the Berlin and Paris Philharmonies,
