A must-see for lovers of world music and deep musical storytelling.

Join us for a captivating evening with Erdal Erzincan, one of Turkey’s most celebrated musicians and a true master of the bağlama. Renowned for his profound interpretations of Anatolian folk music, Erzincan brings to the stage a deeply expressive and technically brilliant solo performance that transcends borders.

Drawing from centuries-old traditions and enriched by his own innovative approach, Erzincan’s music speaks to the heart while pushing the boundaries of the genre. His signature technique—the selpe (a form of tapping unique to the bağlama)—creates rhythmic textures and melodic depth rarely heard on any instrument.

This intimate concert at Kings Place offers a rare opportunity to witness Erzincan’s artistry up close, as he takes audiences on a journey through the emotional landscapes of Anatolia with stories told purely through strings and silence. Whether you’re a connoisseur of folk traditions or new to Turkish music, this performance promises an unforgettable musical experience.
