This is the latest project from multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Jihad Darwish, arguably one of the most versatile and exciting voices on the UK scene whose credits as a sideman range from Sting to Tony Kofi, Van Morrisson to Jo Harrop. With Pradipika Darwish explores idioms rooted in Indian classical music and informed by jazz, free improvisation and contemporary
electronic practice. This project explores the creative possibilities that emerge when tradition and
experimentation are held in dialogue and a group of exquisite musicians decide to transcend genre and expectations in order to blend music fit for a cosmopolitan metropolis like London.
