Breaking away from traditional jazz composition, our songs shift the spotlight to the song itself, creating a world where the classic roles within jazz are reimagined, allowing each piece to transcend conventional boundaries.
Berlin-born trombonist Laszlo Griese (*1998) was shaped by his musically rich upbringing – his father, a jazz musician, and his mother, a music teacher, instilled in him a deep appreciation for a wide range of musical influences from an early age. Composing and improvising across diverse formations since his youth, Laszlo’s experience spans intimate duos to leading his own big band.
His studies in jazz trombone at the Jazz Institute Berlin continue to fuel his distinct approach, blending tradition with fresh perspectives. Laszlo’s work challenges conventional roles within jazz, focusing on creating immersive musical worlds where each piece is uniquely central.
