About the Event
Igor Osypov presents his recent and most open-hearted project. Flying House opens a musical world with the unmistakable voice of guitarist Igor Osypov. The band presents a highly individual and immediately recognisable sound, balancing lyrical delicacy with dynamic rhythmic energy. The quartet’s subtle interplay and expressive depth create a sonic identity that is both distinctive and deeply memorable, leaving a lasting impression on the listener.
Flying House is a deeply personal upcoming album by guitarist Igor Osypov. In this music, Osypov dedicates each piece to the people and moments that shape his life—especially his family. The album focuses intentionally on the positive: cherishing the present, appreciating closeness, and finding warmth in the everyday.
Having spent much of his life as a refugee, escaping the reality of war, Osypov chose to center this project around a simple idea: living in the present. Flying House represents the feeling that home is not a fixed place but something that travels with the people you love. Wherever life takes you, home exists when those closest to you are near.
As a composer, Osypov returned to his most natural starting point: writing the music on his main instrument, the guitar. In this sense, the guitar becomes a metaphor for returning to one’s default setting, one’s musical home. While the guitar holds a central role in the sound of the album, the music leaves ample space for every member of the band to breathe, interact, and contribute their voice to the collective story.
Flying House is ultimately a celebration of presence, family, and the quiet joy of sharing music—and life—with the people who make any place feel like home.
