We're excited to announce the first of an exciting new series, edbl presents - a live showcase from South London producer and label owner edbl, bringing together some of the finest independent artists from his world and beyond.

With a catalogue spanning over 130 million streams and a reputation built on quality — from sold-out shows at Blue Note Tokyo to BBC Radio 1 and Jazz FM support — edbl knows good music. Tonight he hands the stage to Jay Alexzander, Miri and Hapin Usuwo for an evening of soul, warmth and genuine artistry.

edbl presents brings together three artists who each represent something vital about the current independent music landscape — different in background and sound, united by craft and intention.

Hapin Usuwo is a Nottingham-based artist, producer and songwriter whose music draws comparisons to 54 Ultra, Stevie Wonder and Quickly Quickly. After earning recognition as a producer — including two wins in Kenny Beats' weekly competition and a co-sign from Kenny himself — Hapin is now stepping into his own voice. His debut single surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify and earned him a BBC Introducing spotlight. His forthcoming EP The Empress is an intimate, deliberately stripped-back collection that feels less like a grand statement and more like a small band playing in a room where every note matters.

Jay Alexzander is a British soul and R&B artist whose song writing has earned admiration from Grammy Award-winner Billy Ocean. A two-time MOBO Unsung finalist, Jay has performed everywhere from Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho to international stages, opening for the likes of Yolanda Brown at Jazz Café and Snarky Puppy in Liverpool. He brings a voice that commands attention and a live presence built over years of headline shows and touring as both frontman and backing vocalist.
