StarkLinnemann Trio: Transcending Beethoven

Leave it to StarkLinnemann to translate centuries-old classics into the sound of today. They have done this before with works by Liszt and Chopin, among others. And now it is Beethoven's turn. With Transcending Beethoven, StarkLinnemann proves once again that good music cannot be captured in terms such as old-fashioned or modern. In StarkLinnemann's hands, Beethoven's Sonata for Piano, opus 28 remains intact, but hip rhythms and modern harmonies are added. And, entirely in the spirit of Beethoven, adventurous improvisations are of course a must!
